Women’s Leadership Feature: Women’s Empowerment Series

The first of it’s kind, the Women’s Empowerment Series in Fond du Lac has a mission to “empower women to take control of their lives.” They provide an eight week class series to selected applicants covering a range of different topics & support needs; such as domestic violence, financial freedom, volunteering, mental health, and more! This series kick starts a journey for women in our community struggling with a range of challenges, issues or past traumas, including domestic violence, sexual assault, addiction, poverty, lack of confidence, and more. The foundation of the program relies on a mentor model to create a support system unlike any other.

What’s the Women’s Leadership Feature all about?

When you think of women’s leadership in the state, where does your big, beautiful brain take you? Perhaps you think of one of the major cities in our state – Madison, Milwaukee, Green Bay… or a great company making waves in this area?

Here – in Fond du Lac – we see a giant opportunity to add to that story in Wisconsin. There is so much amazing work happening behind the scenes in our small city, and it’s about time we celebrate and expand upon it! Learn more
