On Thursday, October 15th, 2015, at Stayer Center Auditorium, Marian University, Certified Strengths Educator Jennifer Krueger presented, “Well Being – the Five Essential Elements:  Career, Social, Financial, Physical, and Community”.  The presentation introduced concepts in the best-seller Well Being: The Five Essential Elements by Tom Rath, author of Strengths Finder 2.0, and Jim Harter, both from the Gallup organization.  Gallup’s comprehensive study of people in over 150 countries revealed that these five interconnected elements shape our lives.  Krueger said, “By taking an integrated approach to our well-being, we are more effective in our personal and professional lives.”

On Saturday, October 3, our fall fundraiser, NamasDay, a community-wide yoga event, was held at UW-FDL.  Area women and girls joined in a morning of yoga, self-care, and empowerment.  Proceeds will go towards 2015 Women’s Fund grants.

The book, Women Who Inspire was released on May 13, 2015, at Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts.  The book featured 40 women in the Fond du Lac area and beyond.  Thank you to those who attended and supported the Women’s Fund!

The 2015 Power of the Purse event was held at the Holiday Inn.  Our guest speaker was writer Jean Feraca, best known for her long career as Wisconsin Public Radio’s premier talk show host.

On March 19, the Great Hall at the beautiful Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts was packed with individuals.  The contemporary Irish band from Milwaukee, Tallymoore, performed and a portion of the evening’s ticket sales benefitted the Women’s Fund.
