The program serves 140 students who are considered at-risk of not completing a bachelor’s degree. TRIO-SSS is federally funded program through the US Department of Education with the goal of increasing college retention and graduation rates. Of the students being served in the 2017-18 school year, 71% are low-income and 96% of the low-income students also either have a disability or are first-generation to attend college in their family. 75% of the students served are also female.
