Women of Achievement

Congrats Sandi Braun Roehrig, 2018 Women of Achievement

Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund named Sandi Braun Roehrig as 2018 recipient of its Women of Achievement award. This award honors local women who, through visionary thinking, entrepreneurial spirit, leadership, or philanthropy, made a significant difference in the quality of life in this community.

ABOUT SANDI

Roehrig, Executive Director of Fond du Lac Area Foundation since 1995, has overseen its growth from $1.4 million to its present $40 million. Through her Foundation work, she was involved in establishing Fond du Lac Arts Council; Volunteer Center of Fond du Lac County; Hope Mentoring and the Women’s Fund.  “I strongly believe that investing in women expands that investment to benefit their children, their families, and ultimately their communities”, she said.

Her concern for her community has extended well beyond her professional role. Roehrig has volunteered her time and leadership skills on many boards and organizations, including serving as President on boards including Fond du Lac YMCA, where she was the first woman president in 100 years; Fond du Lac Noon Rotary Club; and UW-Fond du Lac Foundation.

Roehrig also serves nationally on the Council of Foundations National Standards Board of Directors and on its National Standards Peer Review Team.

She has received the Wisconsin Cluster of YMCA’s Key Leaders Award; UW-Fond du Lac Distinguished Alumni award, and is a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow.

Roehrig says her greatest joy and major life accomplishment is being the proud mother of loving and amazing sons Joe, Rocky and Mike Braun.

The award presentation highlights the “Power of the Purse” luncheon, Wednesday, April 18th, 2018, at Holiday Inn Conference Center.
