Why Give?

Empowered & Inspired by You

You can and have made a difference in the lives of Fond du Lac area women & girls. In 2015, we granted $24,500 and are proud to have helped local women & girls:

  • Maintain independence & dignity
    • 100% of elderly/disabled Fond du Lac women served by Clarity Care remained in their homes instead of in elder care facilities
  • Seek safety & support after abuse
    • 41 local women received emergency funding assistance
    • 16 local survivors received equine therapy as part of new programming
  • Build confidence
    • After 2015 Girls on the Run Fond du Lac, a 31% increase in self-esteem was reported; as well as a 10% increase in sense of identity; 16% increase in body image; 16% increase in eating attitudes; out of 175 local participants from 11 GOTR sites

Real Stories. Real Impact.

The impact from our 2015 grants continues to make a difference, but we still need your help.  Grant requests for 2016 have exceeded $90,000.  Every dollar, big or small, helps the Fond du Lac Area Women's Fund reach the goal of raising $50,000 for 2017.

Programs designed with women or girls in mind produce better outcomes than those that are gender neutral.  That's why Women’s Fund grants go to local programs like Girls on the Run; Solutions Center Shelter & Support Services and Agnesian HealthCare Domestic Violence programs with Mahala's Hope, Clarity Care's "Help at Home" programFamily Resource Center, and Moraine Park Technical College's Emergency Fund.  See our Grants page for a complete list of granting history.
